Demo mode
The whole app, populated: a grid of people around you, a board of notices, and no account, no location prompt and no server. It runs entirely in this tab.
Everything in the demo is invented and stays in this tab.
What you can do
- Look at a grid of people nearby, filter it, and watch what the filters do to it.
- Knock on someone, in a line you write, sealed on this device to their key.
- Read a full board: every category, every distance band, dated and standing.
- Switch between the map, the wall, the diary and the list.
- Put a notice up, watch it appear, and take it down again.
- Paste poster text and see what the extractor reads and what it guesses.
- Type a venue and watch it match against a list your browser already holds.
- Open a notice and say something about it, within one of your pods.
- Save an event to your calendar.
What isn’t real
It’s sample data, marked as such, and a real deployment builds its own from public map data for wherever it runs.
Nobody knocks on you, and nothing you send is answered. A knock you write really is sealed to the key on that person’s card, and then sits in your sent list, because there’s nobody on the other end. An ignored knock in the real app looks exactly the same, which is the part worth seeing: no receipt, no “seen”, no way to tell the two apart.
What is real
The rules are. The fixtures run through the same visibility checks, the same ordering, the same k-floors and the same refusals as a live board, so a notice under a sensitive pod is hidden by the real reciprocity rule, a venue with too little history correctly says nothing, and a signal cast in the wrong pod is genuinely refused rather than pretending. The grid is the same: one person is showing you a sensitive pod because you’re visible in it yourself, another is in one and isn’t showing it, and a third is standing near you and never reaches your grid at all. Filter down to a handful and proximity coarsens itself, because a lone card marked “around the corner” is a located person.
